We are operating TWO free summer camps this year! One is for students in grades K-5 and the other is for students in grades 6 - 8. Details follow:
FYI’s Summer of Service Day Camp is for students who just finished grades 6 through 8. Our camp offers weekly trips around the city, swim time, sports and recreation, arts & crafts, and our signature community service opportunities. Campers will meet and depart daily from the High School for Excellence and Innovation, in the I.S. 52 complex, at 650 Academy Street, between Broadway and Vermilyea Avenue. FYI’s Welcome Summer Camp is for students who just finished grades Kindergarten through 5. The camp is geared toward students who are immigrant or first generation bilingual students and/or English language learners, with the goal of increasing English fluency while having all the fun summer experiences every child needs! Drop off and pick up are at P.S. 128, 560 W. 169th Street, between Audubon Avenue and Broadway. Camp runs from July 6 to August 21, Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. For more information call Wendy Peña at 212-781-1113 ext. 243.
